I’m My (pronounced as “me”), she/her, Vietnamese. I also go by Chiffon. I am a senior undergrad at Minerva University (USA) studying AI & Statistics, while living and engaging civically in 6 cities 🇺🇸🇰🇷🇹🇼🇮🇳🇦🇷🇩🇪 as a part of Minerva global rotation, with my peers from 80+ countries and regions.

I am broadly interested in making knowledge more accessible, accurate, current, and interactive with AI, through natural language processing and human-computer interaction. I am focusing on

  1. low-resource, multilingual, and multicultural adaptation,
  2. knowledge management across modalities: acquisition, utilization, reasoning, unlearning, and editing
  3. human-agent collaboration and personalization for education.
  4. other directions that help my vision of making knowledge work more effective and worthwhile

I started research journey in Jun 2024, working on 3D LiDAR-based object detection. I’m working fine-tuning LLMs for vocabulary learning (bachelor thesis). I also participate in ethical and open research efforts, such as contributing 2 questions on Humanity’s Last Exam benchmark and SEACrowd’s vision-language annotation for Southeast Asian languages.

Digital garden

I love teaching and organizing educational activities and continual learning, which greatly inform my research interests and problems I want to contribute to in my life. This website is my public digital garden on the Internet, where I cultivated and documented my various interests over time. Currently, most notes are taken directly as I take Computer Science & Math courses and work on philosophical and personal thoughts.

Equally important, I strive to be a better human in the interconnected world, by reading to be more informed, conversing problems, and participating in community services. In my free time, I like cooking, organizing potluck dinners, and playing boardgames with friends.
